What
others say about Blue Apple Players…..
| On
the way my friends Jimmy, Dusty and I were saying we
would not like the play. At the end we were the biggest
fans.
- Student, Hendersonville, Tennessee (excerpt from
Shubert Foundation Annual Report)
If
I hadn’t been in the Blue Apple youth theater
I would still be sitting in the back of the classroom
with no one to be friends with or to talk to.
- A middle school boy
The
year following your performance of CONSEQUENCES, we
had a significant drop in the number of young women
that became pregnant.
- Principal, Calloway Co.High School
After
their work with Blue Apple, students’ scores increased
74%.
- Dr. Dean Hite, Principal, Western Middle School
Our
community is a young, growing small town that is overly
supplied with sports programs for our children, but
totally devoid of culture and arts programs. The JOHNNY
APPLESEED play was “ food for a starving nation”.
The music teacher and I had wanted something like this
for our students for so long that we were overcome with
tears of joy when we saw how the children responded
to the music and story.
- Kindergarten Teacher, Tennessee
“Because
of No More Secrets, Melissa’s abuse ended. The
defendant received a 25 year sentence.”
- Carol H. Cobb, Assistant Commonwealth Attorney
& Division Chief, Domestic Violence Unit
